Story Arc Graphic Organizer
In this activity, you will fill out a story arc graphic organizer, summarizing your myth.
Remember, good story arcs include the following information:
1. Exposition (introduction): includes the characters, the setting, and the problem.
2. Rising Action: 2-3 ways the problem escalates or gets worse.
3. Climax: the event in the story where the character undergoes a change, thereby dealing with the problem head on. Many times it is the most exciting part of the story.
4. Falling Action: the character ties up any loose ends, and the story comes to a close.
5. Resolution: the theme or message of the story. What does the character and/or reader learn?
*Your teacher may provide you with a template, or want you to create a hand drawn or computer drawn version. An example of what it could look like, is displayed below.
